What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing, Current appropriate state licensure, Current or successful completion of CPR BLS Certification, Must meet the practice requirements in the state, Less than 2 years of Nephrology Nursing experience
Nice to Have
Chronic/acute hemodialysis experience
What You'll Do.
systematic collection and analysis of patient
Document patient data in the medical record
Make adjustments or modifications to treatment plan
Supervisor or Physician
and document patient/family learning needs
Provide initial and ongoing education to patients and
Direct and provide hemodialysis therapy
Administer medications as prescribed
Document medical justification and effectiveness of medications
Initiate or assist with emergency response measures
Serve as a resource for health care team
Participate in staff training and orientation
Ensure correct laboratory collection
processing and shipping procedures
Reschedule missed or insufficient laboratory collections
Identify expected outcomes
Update the nursing assessment and plan of care
Ensure patient awareness related to transplant and modality
Complete CAP requirements to advance
