Licensure to practice pharmacy in the state of Massachusetts by the hire date.

What You'll Do.
compounding and dispensing of prescribed pharmaceuticals
checking all medication prior to dispensing and delivery
Prepare or supervise the preparation of medication
Verify all patient information before filling a prescription
Compound prescribed medications
Performs quality checks on prescriptions for correct dosage
Provide consultation to customers upon filling a prescription.
Dispense medical and surgical products as prescribed
Record prescriptions including poisons
narcotics and other restricted drugs
Perform order entry of prescriptions into the pharmacy management systems (QS1
Supervises pharmacy staff including customer service representatives and pharmacy technicians
Responsible for checking all medication prior to dispensing and deliveries.

**POSITION SUMMARY:** Under the supervision of the Outpatient Pharmacy Administrative Director and/or Pharmacy Manager, and according to department policies, and procedures, and guidelines, is responsible for the compounding and dispensing of prescribed pharmaceuticals. Responsible for checking all medication prior to dispensing and delivery. **Position: Outpatient Pharmacy** **Department: Crosstown Pharmacy** **Schedule: Per Diem** **ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:** * Prepare or supervise the preparation of medication * Verify all patient information before filling a prescription * Compound prescribed medications, package and label * Performs quality checks on prescriptions for correct dosage, drug interactions, etc. * Provide consultation to customers upon filling a prescription.
