What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Graduate of accredited School of Practical Nursing, Current appropriate State licensure, Successfully complete CPR Certification, Successfully complete training course in hemodialysis, Complete Nurses Technical Training Program
Nice to Have
One year medical-surgical nursing experience, Hemodialysis experience, ICU experience
What You'll Do.
Provide direct patient care
Perform technical aspects of dialysis
Administer and monitor treatments
Monitor and document dialysis treatment parameters
Document patient care information
Report significant information to supervisor
Assist in developing patient teaching plan
Educate patient and family
Assist with emergency operational procedures
Administer intravenous medication
Perform and document pre
post treatment review
Initiate basic CPR measures
Respond to emergency situations
Operate dialysis related equipment
Provide minor troubleshooting
Operate emergency equipment
Participate in staff meetings
Assist in patient care plan meetings
Participate in in-service classes
Act as resource person for staff
Coordinate care plan with Physician
