What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field (or equivalent experience), 3–5+ years OSP Engineering experience, knowledge of OSP design (aerial & underground), construction methods, and permitting, Experience working with state DOTs, municipalities, and 3rd-party contractors, Proficiency in AutoCAD, GIS, Microsoft Office, and OSP design software, Excellent project management, problem-solving, and communication skills, Ability to work independently in field environments and manage multiple priorities, Flexible, adaptable, and able to respond to changing project demands, listening skills with the ability to follow directions and apply feedback effectively, May assist with training and onboarding new team members
Nice to Have
Experience with DOT projects and utility coordination on large-scale road or infrastructure efforts, Knowledge of ROW (Right-of-Way) regulations and permitting processes, Familiarity with fiber optic splicing, restoration, and network design, Experience with systems such as ARAMIS, LFACS, MIC, WALDO, and TIRKS
