Organization Designation Authorization (ODA) Inspection Unit Member **Company:** The Boeing Company The Boeing Product & Services Safety (P&SS) organization is looking for an **Organization Designation Authorization (ODA) Inspection Unit Member** to join the Regulatory Administration and Airworthiness Team (RA&A) in **Seattle, WA** or **Renton, WA.** **Primary responsibilities:** * Evaluate customer specifications and regulations, and assess the design to develop safety requirements, constraints, and operating limits * Issues airworthiness certificates (standard, export, experimental, special flight permits) or approvals on eligible products (e.g., aircraft, related parts) to ensure compliance to type design and that the products are in a condition for safe operation. * Determines acceptability of submitted application and that aircraft are eligible for certificate requested including special requirements of the importing country. * Prepares or reviews type inspection reports for submittal to FAA. * Communicates with FAA regarding regulatory issues or status. * Coordinates with applicable FAA or Company representatives on conformity inspection issues. * Verifies documents completion and status of inspections. * Updates conformity databases to ensure specific inspection requirement is complete. **Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):** * 10+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience * 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Office Products like Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word. * 5+ years of experience in Aerospace, Manufacturing, Quality, or experience in a regulated industry * Willing to work variable shifts; including days, evenings, nights and weekends. **Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):** * Current and valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license. * Currently hold a FAA ODA Unit Member qualification. * Experience and familiarity with FAA processes and procedures and OD
