What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Optician experience required, High School Diploma or GED Equivalent, Favorable result on Background Check, Basic computer skills, Customer service skills, Excitement to learn and grow, 1 year customer/patient interaction experience
Nice to Have
Current ABO/ABOC certifications preferred, NCLE certifications preferred, Obtain ABO/ABOC within 2 years, Obtain NCLE within 2 years
What You'll Do.
Promote frames and lenses
Adjust and repair glasses
Facilitate patient flow
Verify medical and vision insurances
Communicate with patients
Answer inquiries through phone
Achieve world-class Total Patient Experience
Maximize retail sales
Support patients’ medical needs
Dispense and fit glasses and contacts
Determine patients' wants and needs
Sell to exceed patient expectations
Assist patients in selecting frames
Coordinate frames with facial and eye measurements
Operate the auto-lensometer
Operate the manual lensometer
Educate and recommend specific lenses
Educate and recommend lens coatings
Educate and recommend frames
Accurately collect measurements
Dispense patient orders
Repair patient frames
Adjust patient frames
Dispense all glasses orders
Dispense contact lens orders
Ensure all job aids and policies are followed
Maintain frame standards
Keep frame inventory accurate
Perform general office duties
Perform office cleaning
Assist with other office duties
