Full Job Description
Database Administrator responsible for managing, optimizing, and securing database environments across on-premises and private cloud. Ensures performance, availability, and reliability while supporting operations and collaborating with development and infrastructure teams. **Key Responsibilities:** · Design, implement, and manage server infrastructure, as well as relational and NoSQL database systems, ensuring optimal performance and security. · Oversee the full database lifecycle, including installation, configuration, maintenance, and upgrades. · Continuously monitor database performance and optimize queries, indexing strategies, and partitioning to ensure efficiency. · Implement high-availability solutions such as AlwaysOn, RAC, replication, and clustering to ensure business continuity. · Establish comprehensive security procedures, including access control policies and encryption methods; manage backup strategies and disaster recovery protocols. · Troubleshoot performance issues and system malfunctions, proactively collaborating with application development teams and system administrators. · Produce detailed technical documentation for application and system configurations, ensuring accuracy across all aspects of database management. · Manage and maintain database environments on private cloud infrastructure, including provisioning, administration, and optimization of pluggable databases (PDBs) within multitenant architectures. · Monitor database environments on private cloud infrastructure, including pluggable databases (PDBs), using advanced monitoring and alerting tools to proactively identify performance bottlenecks, ensure system health, and maintain SLA compliance **Requirements** : · University Degree or equivalent · 5+ years’ experience in the same role preferably within financial industry in a complex and international environment · Experience with Cassandra or other NoSQL databases is highly desirable for broader database management responsibilities. ·
