Must Have

High School Graduate/GED / Equivalent required, 0 – 1 years experience, BLS certification required, Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, Knowledge of visions procedures required, Knowledge of sterilization processes required, Knowledge of vision equipment/instruments required

Nice to Have

Vocational / Technical School / Diploma Program preferred, 2-4 years experience preferred, Experience with Ophthalmology equipment/instruments preferred, Experience with Standard Office Equipment (Phone, Fax, Copy Machine, Scanner, Email/Voice Mail) preferred, Experience with Standard Office Technology in a Window based environment preferred, Experience with patient care equipment preferred, Experience with EHR, Practice Management System and Departmental/Ancillary Systems preferred

What You'll Do.

Assist with patient visits

Schedule appointments/Diagnostic procedures

Maintain equipment and instruments

Perform analyses on patient glasses

Perform Visual Fields

Perform other tests as ordered

Provide contact lens lessons

Maintain efficient patient flow

Clean and/or sterilize equipment

Prepare examination room

Escort patients into room

Clean room after exam

Schedule appointments accurately

Communicate to Supervisor

Reconcile encounters daily

Take accurate messages

Confirm future appointments

Reconcile Televox cancellation list

update patient information

Submit detailed accurate records

Submit payments to accounting

Reconcile medication list in EHR

Demonstrate understanding of contact lens process
