We are so glad you are interested in joining Sutter Health! **Organization:** PAMF-Palo Alto Medical Foundation ALD **Position Overview:** Provides administrative support by answering phones, scheduling patient appointments, filing, paperwork, greets patients and assists with the check in of patients. Performs all of the pre-tests, refraction's, assist physicians with exams and/or procedures. **Job Description** : _These Principal Accountabilities, Requirements and Qualifications are not exhaustive, but are merely the most descriptive of the current job. Management reserves the right to revise the job description or require that other tasks be performed when the circumstances of the job change (for example, emergencies, staff changes, workload, or technical development)._ **EDUCATION:** * HS Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) **CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:** * COA-Certified Ophthalmic Assistant within 18 months * OR COT-Certified Ophthalmic Technician within 18 months * BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider **TYPICAL EXPERIENCE** : * 1 year recent relevant experience **SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:** * Skill in operating a computer, copier, and telephone console, identifying problems and recommending solutions. * The ability to understand and carry out assigned orders by physician or supervisors. * Must have customer service skills with patients, physicians, co-workers and all supervisor/management positions. * Ability to make simple mathematical computations, work independently, effectively prioritize tasks, exercise initiative, judgment, and decision making, work effectively as team member, establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees and the public. * Knowledge, understanding, and ability to operate visual testing equipment. * Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy. **Job Shift:** Days **Schedule:** Full Time **Shift Hours:** 8 **Days of the Week:** Friday, Monday, Thursday, Tuesday **Weekend Requirements:** None **Bene
