# ******Job Description Summary****** As an operator in an aerospace environment, you will be responsible for disassembly, cleaning & repairing of customer returned units. During this process you will also support testing, warranty and engineering requirements. # **Job Description** * Strip down of propeller components and apply minor salvages. * Work to drawings, manuals, specifications and business procedures. * Ensure traceability is maintained throughout the process. * Highlight and record defects. * Work to H&S regulations and understand the risks within the environment. * Support engineering / quality investigations and project work as and when required. * Support cost-out/lean initiatives, EHS/ergonomic activities, housekeeping inspections and continuous improvement projects. * Book in parts and be trained to use various lifting devices. **Qualifications/Requirements** * The ability to work on mechanical and hydraulic components. * The ability to utilise detailed manuals, drawings and other documentation to complete the task. * High level attention to detail. * High quality and accurate work output * Good manual dexterity. * Good communication skills. * Self-motivated and the ability to work within a team. * Ability to work varied shift patterns when required. **Desired Characteristics** * Good team player who is inclusive in their approach. * Able to work on own initiative. * Outstanding integrity. * Able to multi-task and deal with a varied work load. * Flexible and willing to support other areas if required. **Flexible Working** GE Aerospace supports and encourages flexible working arrangements, where possible, and recognises the benefits to employees of having a positive work-life balance. **Total Reward** At GE Aerospace we understand the importance of Total Reward.
