Kumba Iron Ore We produce high-grade iron ore, the key component in steel, widely used in construction and manufacturing across the world. Our activities include all aspects – exploration; mining; processing and blending; shipping; marketing and selling. In South Africa, we have mining operations in the Northern Cape province, as well as a head office in Centurion, Gauteng, and a port operation in Saldanha Bay, Western Cape. As our Operator Gr2 your responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Safety, Health, and Environment * Ensure that personal protective equipment (PPE) is used and maintained according to safety regulations. * Follow SHE standards when performing any work and read, sign off and adhere to all appropriate work instructions and standards. * Attend safety meetings as instructed and keep the allocated area clean and hazard-free by applying good housekeeping practices. * Always correctly apply HIRA/Mini HIRA and report safety and health-related issues. * Ensure that work practices do not harm others and take all necessary safety precautions when working on production equipment. * Actively participate in safety initiatives and continuously promote good housekeeping by adhering to all safety and health standards. * Active participation in SLAMs, HPHs, relevant Risk Assessments, and closure of Safety Actions.
