What They're Looking For.

Must Have

5-7 years of expertise in one or more of the following areas: Experience conducting stress and/or scenario testing activities., Knowledge across the following resilience disciplines: Business Continuity, Incident and Crisis management, Disaster Recovery, Technology Resilience, Cyber Security and supplier/vendor management., understanding of Operational Resilience regulatory requirements and expectations, as well as awareness of Operational Resilience industry practices, evolving trends and leading practices., knowledge of enterprise risk and control frameworks and resilience risks relating to business operations, technology and supply chains., An understanding of the bank’s businesses and organization structure, including key products and services, processes and controls., Ability to produce concise and polished materials, including presentations and reports., 7+ years in an Operational Risk environment., An advanced understanding of risk and control and governance frameworks, and practices and Operational Risk management or other assessment methodologies., Practical experience of working in the governance structures expected in a financial services business including the management and delivery of governance items, including high-quality reports and proposal documents., Experience conducting stress and/or scenario testing activities., organisational skills and attention to detail, with a demonstrated ability to work independently, lead multiple projects, effectively prioritise, and manage a high volume of tasks, deadlines, requirements, and decisions., knowledge of enterprise risk and control frameworks and resilience risks relating to business operations, technology and supply chains., Knowledge across the following resilience disciplines: Cyber Security, Business Continuity, Incident and Crisis management, Disaster Recovery, Technology Resilience and supplier/vendor management., An understanding of the Enterprises businesses, including key products and services, processes and controls., understanding of concepts and application of change management., understanding of Operational Resilience regulatory requirements and expectations, as well as awareness of Operational Resilience industry practices, evolving trends and leading practices., Awareness of multi-jurisdictional regulatory practices and requirements, where warranted., Ability to produce concise and polished materials, including presentations and reports., Demonstrate leadership behaviours that are consistent with Being BMO Values and Ambition 2030., Presentation and communication skills., Sound judgement., Critical thinking and problem-solving techniques., Time management and prioritization., executive presence with ability to motivate, influence and negotiate., Stakeholder relationship management., Conflict management and resolution skills., data analytics skills, including Microsoft Excel., Collaboration skills.

Nice to Have

Certification in any of the follow would be an advantage CRM, BCI, CCSA, CISA, CA, CCSP, ISC, ITIL.

Drive Compliance and Excellence

Facilitate scenario testing of critical products

Build severe but plausible storylines

Perform end-to-end testing

Engage stakeholders to discuss actions

Assess alternate ways to service customers

Maintain and mature BMO’s Operational Resilience program

Perform testing to assist business operations

Facilitate oversight and challenge activities

Assess compliance with Operational Resilience framework

Mature the bank’s Operational Resilience

Drive insights and recommendations

Provide guidance to Operating Groups

Identify opportunities for enhancing capabilities

Execute roadmap deliverables

Ensure business can continue to operate

Meet relevant Operational Resilience targets

Ensure BMO’s resilience posture is managed

Continuously improve resilience posture

Identify gaps to improve resilience

Build and maintain relationships with business partners

Align approach across the group

Align with various regulators

Maintain understanding of business strategy

Ensure processes and policies remain current

Support self-assessments and reporting

Support escalation of deficiencies

Oversee evaluation of engagement

Document remedial activities

Provide strategic input into business decisions
