Must Have
Proven experience as a bookkeeper, preferably in the vacation rental or hospitality industry, Proficiency in the use of Excel, working knowledge of Netsuite or other accounting software, understanding of financial principles, Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, Attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping, Effective communication skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams, Problem solving, Ability to work independently, Critical thinker, Tech Savvy - Can learn technology and software

Hospitality industry experience, Common knowledge of the VR/STR industry
What You'll Do.
Manage financial transactions
Ensure accurate record-keeping
Support operational efficiency
Manage intercompany transactions
Accounts Receivable tasks
Collection follow-ups
Respond to inquiries from guests or credit card companies
Accounts Payable tasks
Create new vendor records
Maintain and update vendor records
Ensure suppliers have current W-9’s and certificates of insurance
Review invoices against use tax and purchase orders
Batch approved invoices for transfer to Netsuite
Maintain Accounts Payable Aging report
Reconcile vendor statements
Assist with month-end closing
Reconcile bank accounts
Process and file sales tax returns
Annual 1042 and 1099 preparation and submission
Maintain confidentiality of proprietary accounting and membership information
Collaborate with internal departments to streamline processes
Gather financial data
Ensure consistency in financial data
Provide financial insights
Manage vendor and contractor payments
Maintain positive relationships with vendors
Negotiate favorable terms
Provide cross-department collaboration
Provide overall logistical support
Fix billing or payment issues
Process month-end financial statements
Ensure compliance with accounting principles
