Coordinates all front desk functions. Provides assistance to the charge nurse, staff, and surgeons. Proactively supports efforts that ensure delivery of safe patient care and services and promote a safe environment at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. **Experience** * 1 year of experience in secretarial/receptionist in a hospital or doctor’s office **Preferred Qualifications** * 2 years of college **Education** * High school diploma, GED, or equivalent and successful completion of a course in medical terminology or equivalent experience **Certification Summary** * No professional certifications required **Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities** * Accurate word processing at 65 words per minute * Ability to communicate effectively with public, surgeons, and staff and manage the telephone in a diplomatic and tactful manner * Ability to work under stressful conditions **Job Responsibilities** * Coordinates communication for the operating room and special procedures. * Schedules cases and performs tasks related to daily operations of Surgical Services. * Reconciles daily and monthly statistics. * Orders and stocks office and lounge supplies. * Escor
