* **Amentum** has an **Operating Engineer (HV Shop)** position opening at our **Springfield, VA** location. The licensed Operating Engineer operates and Maintains one or more systems that provide an establishment with such services as heat, air-conditioning, refrigeration, steam or high-temperature water or electricity in the CUP. **Must be a U.S. Citizen and possess an active Top Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI.** Essential Responsibilities: * Observe and interpret readings on gauges, meters and charts which register various aspects of the system and to meet demand for the service provided * Record logs in various aspects of the systems operation, keeping the engines, machinery and equipment of the system in good working order * Direct and coordinate activities of other workers in performing task directly related to operating and maintaining the system or systems * Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate. * Must be skilled in the repair of electronic control equipment; workers in establishments producing electricity, steam, or heated or cooled air. * Ability to lift 45 lbs. * Must be a US citizen. * Must possess and maintain an active DoD TS clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI * Minimum Knowledge * High school diploma or equivalent. * MD stationary engineer license level 1 or DC stationary engineer level 3 required. **Compensation Details:** US $49.12 per hour **Original Posting:** 05/07/2026 - Until Filled Amentum anticipates this job requisition will remain open for at least three days, with a closing date no earlier than three days after the original posting.
