What They're Looking For.
Must Have
mechanical, electrical, engineering, operational or process work with supporting qualifications, Good level of computer literacy i. e. able to use Word, Excel and bespoke systems, understanding of general literacy i. e. able to read and follow written process instructions and complete paperwork accurately, Able to work as part of a small shift team and communicate clearly with other station functions, Counter Terrorist Check (CTC) which will, ordinarily, require you to have British residency for the last 3 years

Ideally have experience of mechanical, electrical, engineering, operational or process work with supporting qualifications

perform Emergency Scheme duties
ensuring that plant and equipment is monitored and maintained in accordance with strict procedures and directives
safety-first approach to everything that you do
taking ownership of issues and actively seeking help when needed
Monitoring plant conditions
identifying & resolving sub-standard conditions through work requests and performing minor tool pouch maintenance
Responding to requests from the control room to investigate plant alarms and perform required operations
Control and closely monitor plant and equipment to support the process by following procedures
Apply conservative decision-making techniques and work effectively within a team environment
Show a solid understanding of plant operation
Investigate and rectify plant faults within your own area of demonstrated competence
Conduct plant operations
lifting activities and health physics monitoring as required
As a member of the onsite Emergency Response Team
you will be trained in breathing apparatus
confined space entry and working at height

You will be responsible for the safe and reliable operations of a nuclear power plant in accordance with all licenses, regulating bodies, company business strategies and industry best practices. You will also be required to perform Emergency Scheme duties where you will receive full training.
