What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Knowledge of basic Human Resources principles, benefits plan administration, Understanding various medical, dental, vision, retirement, life insurance and disability plans/programs, Familiarity with the Affordable Care Act, COBRA, other Federal and State regulations that relate to the administration of employee benefits plans, Ability to accurately perform data entry and systems processing functions, generate reports, provide exemplary customer service, Highly organized, ability to pivot quickly between administrative tasks and live employee support, Ability to use HR(HRIS) computer software and systems, Possess organizational and time management skills, Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel), Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in employee benefits, or human resources, Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, public administration or a related field from an accredited university, Valid Florida Life, Health & Variable Annuities 2-15 license or the ability to obtain one within first 90 days of employment, Valid FL Driver’s license

Bachelor’s degree (preferred) in human resources, business administration, public administration or a related field from an accredited university, Additional experience may substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis
What You'll Do.
Serve as first point of contact for employees and retirees
Provide dedicated support to employees and retirees
Assist with complex claim issues
Navigate formal appeals process with carriers
Meet individually with staff to resolve concerns
Guide staff through qualifying life events
Maintain and audit employee/dependent records
Manage benefit elections for employee lifecycle
Maintain accurate documentation for qualifying events
Address medical appeals with carriers
Complete Medicare forms for transitioning members
Manage life and disability insurance applications
Update TPAs regarding FSA/HRA status changes
Conduct bi-weekly discrepancy report reconciliations
Notify payroll of necessary adjustments
Generate and upload personnel/payroll files
Prepare and reconcile monthly self-bill and premium files
Manage carrier remittances
Resolve complex billing discrepancies
Plan and execute annual Benefits and Wellness Fair
Lead open enrollment meetings
Partner with account managers and carriers
Implement annual plan design changes
Ensure compliance with ACA reporting
Retiree drug subsidy filings
Conduct periodic benefit audits
Coordinate and facilitate Task Force meetings
Annual renewal sessions
How You'll Work.
Team & Collaboration
Work closely with County Administration; Legal; Finance; Payroll departments; Partner with account managers and carriers; Ensure stakeholders are aligned on plan design and strategy
