What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Bachelor’s degree in Social Services, Rehabilitation, Healthcare, or a related field, 3+ years of professional experience working with individuals with disabilities and/or older adults, Related experience with regard to the functional assessment of individuals with disabilities along with experience working with individuals with disabilities, Experience documenting decisions within regulated or compliance-driven programs, Experience with ADA programs, eligibility determination, &/or public benefits
Nice to Have
Knowledge of public transportation systems preferred, OT, PT, or COTA certification or licensure, preferred, 5+ years of post-licensure clinical experience, preferred, CPR and First Aid certification, preferred, Possess a continuously valid US driver’s license, preferred
What You'll Do.
Conduct in-person interviews and functional assessments with applicants
Review ADA paratransit applications
and professional verification materials
Determine required functional assessments and evaluate results
Apply observations and assessment findings to ADA eligibility determinations
Assess applicants’ ability to independently use fixed-route public transportation
Make final eligibility determinations in compliance with ADA regulations and contract standards
accurate written eligibility determinations within ADA-mandated timeframes
Maintain complete documentation supporting eligibility decisions and appeals
Enter and manage applicant data in Client systems (including Trapeze)
Participate in appeals processes by clearly articulating decision rationale
Provide additional written documentation to Clients upon request

Team & Collaboration
Partner with MTM leadership and Client teams to identify process improvement opportunities; Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and Client collaboration sessions; Support community outreach and education initiatives as needed

**Why This Role Matters** As an **On-Call** **Transportation Accessibility Specialist**(also known as an On- Call Mobility Assessment Evaluator), you will help ensure individuals with disabilities and older adults receive fair, accurate, and timely ADA paratransit eligibility determinations, while also supporting independence and appropriate use of fixed-route public transportation whenever possible. This role is intentionally designed to attract professionals from clinical disciplines _and_ social-services or human-services backgrounds.
