Full Job Description

ACCEL Schools is seeking a qualified individual to join our national team as the Ohio Career Technical Education Specialist. We are seeking professionals who prioritize student learning, employability skills, career readiness, and intervention strategies that support student success. ACCEL Schools uses a cutting-edge 21st-century curriculum, which can be accessed online and through a variety of traditional methods. The Ohio Career Technical Education Specialist will support Career Tech Education and Career-Based Intervention programs across ACCEL Schools’ Ohio brick-and-mortar network. This individual will provide guidance and support related to program implementation, compliance, work-based learning, curriculum resources, and student support strategies aligned to Ohio CTE and CBI requirements. The role will work closely with school leaders, teachers, and the National CTE Team to strengthen program quality, expand student opportunities, and ensure sustainable CTE and CBI programming. Duties Include: Support and assist Ohio brick-and-mortar schools with implementation and growth of Career Technical Education Pathways and Career-Based Intervention (CBI) programs. Collaborate with the National CTE Team, school leaders, counselors, and teachers to support program success and student outcomes. Provide guidance on Ohio CBI requirements, documentation, and compliance expectations. Assist with planning for school transition from Career-Based Intervention (CBI) programs into aligned CTE pathways. Assist schools with work-based learning implementation, student placements, tracking, and best practices. Support schools in identifying and utilizing appropriate curriculum resources, intervention supports, and employability skill development activities. Help schools develop meaningful partnerships with local businesses and community organizations to expand career readiness opportunities for students.
