**Overview:** Fulltime, benefits eligible role. Mon - Fri, days Travel required 50%-70% within Ohio. Same day travel with minimal overnight stays required. Valid Ohio driver’s license and proof of auto insurance is required by hospital policy. Must pass a motor vehicle background inspection, insurance eligibility, driving qualifications and training set forth by Nationwide Children’s Hospital and must maintain qualification of insurance guidelines. **Job Description Summary:** Conducts safety inspections and trainings to ensure a safe working environment and compliance with all safety standards and regulations. **Job Description:** **Essential Functions:** * Conducts regular safety inspections of the facilities and safety equipment to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance. * Oversees general safety programs, collects and analyzes statistical data on safety, and ensures accurate documentation is maintained. * Coordinates and conducts staff and volunteer training on safety protocols and emergency procedures. * Advises staff on safety compliance and assists with any questions or issues. Escalates violations and non-compliance to appropriate leadership. * Coordinates the performance of fire, abduction and tornado drills for main campus and off-site locations. **Education Requirement:** Associate's Degree in Healthcare Safety, Environmental Safety, Fire Science, related field, equivalent professional experience in lieu of a formal degree, required. **Licensure Requirement:** Valid Ohio driver’s license and proof of auto insurance as required by hospital policy and position-specific requirements. Must pass motor vehicle background inspection, insurance eligibility, driving qualifications, and training set forth by Nationwide Children’s Hospital and maintain qualification of insurance guidelines. **Certifications:** * Certificate in fire-fighting methodology within one year of hire, required. * Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 10 Hour Outreac
