This position works closely with both financial and clinical teams and will offer you the space to create the optimum patient experience. **Responsibilities** * You will assure complete and accurate patient admissions/registrations according to organization policy and procedures and regulatory requirements * You will obtain inpatient bed assignments and processes inpatient admission, to include arm banding, addressograph plate, and completion of necessary forms * You will pre-admit all scheduled inpatient, outpatients and ambulatory patients to facilitate a smooth and speedy admission/registration process * You will obtain direct admit information and enter a reservation in the computer system in order to notify other areas * You will complete comprehensive bedside or telephone interviews with patient, relative, or their representative to obtain pertinent demographic insurance and/or third party liability information * You will perform eligibility verification and resolves any discrepancies, determine need for financial assistance recommendation and application, referring to the Financial Counselor where necessary **Requirements** * Graduate of health vocational program such as patient access, medical assistance, medical billing and insurance or medical general, required * One year of admitting, billing, registration or cus
