Full Job Description
**Occupational Therapist – Generalist** **Mackay, QLD** If you enjoy being an OT because of the _variety_ —not despite it—this role will suit you. We’re partnering with a growing allied health provider that keeps things simple: strong clinical work, supportive team culture, and flexibility that actually means something. No rigid moulds—just space to practise in a way that works for you. **What makes this role different?** This isn’t a “tick-the-box” OT role. You’ll have the freedom to shape your caseload across adults and/or paediatrics, depending on your strengths and interests. Whether you prefer clinic-based work, community visits, or a blend of both—the structure is flexible. **Your day-to-day may include:** * Functional assessments and goal setting that genuinely reflect client needs * Equipment prescription and home modifications * Working with NDIS and private clients * Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team that values input (not just reports) **What you’ll get in return:** * A role that adapts to your clinical interests over time * Support without micromanagement * A team that understands workload balance * Competitive salary package + performance incentives * Ongoing professional development and mentoring **Who this would suit:** * AHPRA registered Occupational Therapist * Someone who enjoys a mixed caseload or wants to keep options open * A clinician who values autonomy but still wants support when needed * Confident communicator with a practical, client-focused mindset **Why Mackay?** Mackay offers the best of both worlds—coastal living with a strong local community and career opportunities. Think weekends exploring the Whitsundays, easy access to beaches, and a relaxed pace of life without sacrificing professional growth. It’s a great place to build experience while actually enjoying your downtime. If you’re considering a move or simply open to hearing what’s out there, feel free to reach out for a confidential chat - [email protected]
