What You'll Do.
Support the development of fine motor
and gross motor skills
Provide tools and resources to assess and support sensory needs
Facilitate self help skill development to promote independence
Serve students across all levels (K-12)
Demonstrate knowledge of occupational strategies
Incorporate consistent behavior management
Provide consultation and occupational therapy support
Assess and provide research-based intervention
Work collaboratively to design Individual Education Programs (IEP)
Demonstrate effective case management
Build and maintain personal relationships with parents
and community partners
Communicate regularly with the Director of Student Support Services
Collaborate with the student support services team
Partner with K-12 MTSS teams
Provide reports and maintain ongoing records
Share information about agencies and services
Collaborate with outside agencies/service providers
Guide teachers and other personnel in observing deficits
Serve as a resource to school staff members
Document health related services
Provide direct and indirect O. T. intervention
Serve as a member of a multidisciplinary team
Participate in the development of the IEP
Perform screenings and evaluations
Provide information from assessments
