Full Job Description
Liquid Personnel is seeking a proactive and motivated Occupational Therapist to join its client's Urgent Response Occupational Therapy Team based in Barnet. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a specialist service providing rapid assessments and interventions for residents at immediate risk of injury, helping to prevent hospital admissions and support safe community living. The Role: Working across the London Borough of Barnet, you will undertake urgent Occupational Therapy and Moving & Handling Risk Assessments for complex cases requiring timely intervention. This is a busy and rewarding role that requires strong clinical reasoning, excellent manual handling expertise, and the ability to work independently while contributing positively to a close-knit team. The successful candidate will participate in a weekly Duty OT rota and work closely with colleagues to deliver a responsive and high-quality service. What will your responsibilities be? Complete urgent Occupational Therapy assessments across the borough. Undertake complex moving and handling risk assessments. Assess and recommend specialist equipment and interventions. Support carers and service users where there is a high risk of injury. Contribute to safeguarding investigations relating to equipment and manual handling concerns. Assess requests for increased care packages where manual handling assessments are required. Respond to urgent referrals involving unsafe transfers, mobility issues, and equipment failures. Work collaboratively with health, social care, and community partners. Referral Criteria Includes: You will assess referrals involving: Unsafe transfers and mobility situations presenting an immediate risk of injury. High-risk moving and handling concerns affecting service users or carers. Safeguarding concerns relating to equipment or manual handling. Equipment that is no longer fit for purpose and presents a significant safety risk. Requests for increased care support requiring specialis
