Must Have
3 years OH&S field experience, Bachelor of Science degree in occupational health & safety or related or equivalent combination of education and experience, Legally able to work in Canada on a permanent basis
Nice to Have
Inspectorial experience preferred, Professional certifications (CRSP, CIH, NEBOSH, CSP, or equivalent) are an asset
What You'll Do.
Implement and maintain OHS policies
Support work permits programs
Ensure permit conditions are met
Coordinate with supervisors to close permits
Perform and document facility inspections
Raise corrective actions
Lead decluttering initiatives
Lead housekeeping initiatives
Track corrective actions to closure
Verify effectiveness of corrective actions
Record corrective actions
Assign corrective actions
Follow up on corrective actions
Support supervisors to plan remedial measures
Support workers to plan remedial measures
Ensure documentation of remedial measures
Ensure verification of remedial measures
Participate in risk assessments
Participate in safety audits
Participate in job hazard analyses
Provide practical mitigation input
Prepare required documentation
Support preparation of regulatory reports
Assist delivering OHS training
Coordinate safety drills
Conduct safety drills
Coordinate program testing
Conduct program testing
Coordinate emergency response exercises
Conduct emergency response exercises
Lead incident responses
