What You'll Do.
participating in all aspects of patient meal service
answering phones in the call center
assembling patient trays
cleaning and sanitizing dishes and equipment
delivering and picking up meal trays
preparing and maintaining serving lines
preparing and assembling cold food items
refrigerating and dating food
disassembling and cleaning food stations
operating the cash register station and cash handling equipment
counting and balancing the cash register
performing routine and heavy-duty cleaning
utensils and other equipment
and unloading the dishwasher
checking and storing all clean equipment
cleaning major equipment
transporting refuse and/or other materials in large carts
maintaining sanitary conditions
completing daily cleaning assignments
operating the mechanical floor cleaner
setting up and delivering food carts to patient and other food delivery areas
retrieving carts and returning them to the dish room for cleaning
stripping patient and cafeteria trays
sorting soiled equipment in preparation for cleaning
working assigned station on the tray line
assembling patient trays in accordance to established standards meeting dietary requirements
assembling patient trays with appropriate speed
accuracy and appearance
delivering trays to patients verifying room numbers
birth dates and patient names
routinely participating in selected quality monitoring activities
taking and recording food
dish machine temperatures
and other related quality assurance activities
assisting with the care and maintenance of department facilities
reporting malfunctions to management
