What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Registered Dietitian or Licenced Nutritionist, Bachelor’s and Master’s from an institution accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND), completed an ACEND-accredited, supervised practice program at a health care facility, community agency, or a food service corporation, passed the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)’s national exam, Bilingual (Spanish/English), Significant experience working with families of children ages 0-5 in low-income communities supporting their health, nutrition, and wellness, Significant experience providing training to staff who work with children ages 0-5, Background checks required
Nice to Have
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, A belief in the mission and values of DREAM
What You'll Do.
Provide guidance related to special diets
Develop and implement Individual Nutrition Plans
Develop and/or refine menus for children
Ensure staff understand special dietary needs
Ensure classrooms have up to date food allergy lists
Provide input on policies and procedures
Provide nutrition education and training
Coordinate to maintain nutrition requirements documentation
Manage time effectively
Additional duties related to nutrition
How You'll Work.
Team & Collaboration
In collaboration with the Program Chef, develop and implement Individual Nutrition Plans; Work with DREAM’s Kitchen team to develop and/or refine menus; In collaboration with the Program Chef, provide input on policies and procedures; In collaboration with Program Chef, effectively coordinate with others
