What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Graduation from an Alberta Government recognized Health Care Aide program, Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English, Physically capable of managing the frequent lifting, transferring and repositioning of clients, Active and current registration with CLHA
Nice to Have
Related experience in a health care facility, Program specific training/experience
What You'll Do.
Provides ongoing client care
monitors and reports on client status/condition including changes in physical and emotional status
Ensures that changes in client status are reported to the Registered Nurse (RN) and/or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Delivers prescribed medications accurately as per policy and procedure
Maintains professional and ethical standards at all times
Responsible for other related duties as required

The HCA observes, monitors and reports on client status/condition including changes in physical and emotional status. The HCA ensures that changes in client status are reported to the Registered Nurse (RN) and/or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). This position delivers prescribed medications accurately as per policy and procedure. In keeping with Carewest’s Frame of Reference, Philosophy of Care and Carewest policies this position maintains professional and ethical standards at all times.
