Enrollment in an accredited Professional School of Nursing or graduate of an accredited Professional School of Nursing waiting to NCLEX for Licensure, Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association

What You'll Do.

Perform patient care activities under RN supervision

Maintain neat and organized environment

Demonstrate appropriate use of standard precautions

Use appropriate isolation techniques

Assist with patient transport

Obtain and use appropriately-sized stretchers

Utilize side rails and/or restraints

Use appropriate safety measures

Provide oversight for patients in holding area

Sanitize equipment and work stations

Unbox and stock supplies

Stock and rotate linens

Report broken equipment

Answer telephone and relay messages

Verify room assignments

Communicate with patient liaison

Transport specimens to laboratory

Receive supplies and validate accuracy

Escort patient's parent/guardian

Function as a dependable team member

Review communication board

Attend applicable unit in-services

Attend continuing educational programs

Follow hospital standards

Comply with hospital policies
