**About this unit** Neuroscience nurses provide care for patient with various illnesses of the brain and nervous system in this 32-bed neuro-medical unit. Patient diagnosis include but are not limited to CVA, TIA’s, Parkinson’s disease, Seizures, Multiple sclerosis and other Neurological disorders. Nurses will also be caring for other general medical surgical patients with various illnesses in this area. It is a Level II trauma center and has been recognized for clinical excellence and innovation in the fields of orthopedics, neurosciences, women’s health, heart & vascular, and cancer care. **Scope of work** Under supervision of a Nurse and following hospital policies and procedures, performs various nursing care tasks and treatments on assigned patients. Performs routine bedside nursing activities including bathing and personal grooming of patients; ambulating, moving and turning patients; assisting patients with bedpans or urinary devices; making patient beds and caring for personal property.
