# _**Job Description​**_ **The Opportunity:** Saint Luke’s Hospital of Kansas City is hiring for an Oncology Clinic Nurse for their outpatient Oncology and Hematology Clinic. This position is part of a rapidly growing program and will assist with care coordination, research studies, provide patient and family education, scheduling, triage, assist with procedures, and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary innovative care team committed to improving patient outcomes. This is a high volume fast-paced Magnet designated clinic. This clinic is INCP and QOPI Certified. **The Shift:** **HOURS: Monday – Friday 8 AM to 4:30 PM.** _May be asked to float to other locations: Overland Park, Liberty, Lees Summit_ **The Work:** * Phone Triage * Schedules emergent-need appointments. * Patient follow-up calls. * Patient education on particular procedures and processes. * Subject matter expert in respective specialty for hospital RNs in the units. * Regularly meets with other disciplines to share best practices on care treatments. * Care for patients with a long-term treatment process. * Collaborate on a care team and provide face-to-face patient care * Maintain ONS Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification We are looking for experienced nurses who are solution focused, passionate about patient education and caring for the whole patient.
