High School Diploma or GED, Successful completion of an applicable state Board of Nursing Aide approved training program/competency evaluation, Nurse Aide Registration Division of Facility Services Nurse Aide Registry, Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification

What You'll Do.
Perform designated basic patient care
Assist Licensed Nurse in patient care
Observe and report patient behavior/response
Observe and report urine
drainage abnormalities
Observe IV therapy and report issues
Observe and report skin abnormalities
Observe and report equipment malfunctions
Report abnormal vital signs/behavior changes
Obtain and document vital signs
Obtain and document height/weight
Measure and document fluid intake/output
Maintain safe and organized patient environment
Assist patient with elimination activities
Provide hygiene for incontinent patient
Perform hygienic/comfort measures
Perform and document therapeutic measures
Reposition bedfast/incontinent patient
Provide 1:1 monitoring
Prepare patient for meals
Assist or feed patient
Maintain fresh water and distribute nourishments
Force or restrict fluids
Assist in admission/transfer/discharge
Assist patient in ambulation/transfer
Maintain unit and patient care environment
Obtain and/or return supplies
Assist in pre-operative/post-operative care
Perform surgical/orthopedic skin preps
Perform surgical scrubs
Perform post-mortem care
Seek out patient care/unit maintenance tasks
Complete unit assignments
Report to oncoming Nursing Assistant
Ensure excellent customer service to patients
Communicate with patients
Treat patients in a caring manner
Be timely regarding treatment
Be professional in patient care
Promote department positively
Promote positive work environment
Attend unit staff meetings
Attend continuing education programs
Review hospital communications
Uphold professional working relationship
Adhere to department rules
Perform other duties as assigned
