Learn procedures and assist with admissions

Prepare patient room for new admission

Understand and utilize care plans

Identify four basic food groups

Understand diet card and dietary restrictions

Record percentage of meal consumed

Provide assistance with meals

Provide after meal care

Make an unoccupied bed

Give incontinence care

Dress bedfast and ambulatory patients

Shampoo hair for bedfast patients

Prepare patients for meal service

Identify common sites for skin breakdown

Provide care in prevention of skin breakdown

Apply restraints in accordance with physician orders

Release restraints and provide exercise

Provide external/indwelling catheter care

Apply catheter care appropriately

Record patient intake and output
