Initiate requests for corrective action in the event of machine malfunctions and detect faulty tools, taking corrective action in accordance with shop practices
Perform physical tasks that include lifting weights ranging from 10-15 lbs to 15-35 lbs, Engage in various movements such as reaching, handling, turning, twisting, lifting, lowering, climbing, balancing, bending, kneeling, crouching, and squatting, Work in environments that may involve contact with metals, solvents, and coolants, Operate in proximity to moving parts and tools, sharp cutters, and potential slipping hazards, Adapt to varying noise levels and atmospheric conditions, Utilize personal safety gear to protect face/eyes, hands/arms, and feet while performing job duties, Must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C. F. R. § 120. 15 is required, This position is expected to be 100% onsite, The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options, Drug Free Workplace, Hourly position governed by the International Association of Machinists (IAM-751) Collective Bargaining agreement, Variety of shifts
What They're Looking For.
Must Have
1+ Years of experience using precision measuring tools, 1+ Years of experience as a machine operator, writing and editing CNC programs, 1+ Years of experience using a computer such as internet navigation, email, Microsoft Office and/or other specialized computer applications, 1+ Years of experience reading and interpreting blueprint and assembly instructions or drawings, 1+ Years of experience operating 3, 4, or 5 axis NC/CNC machine tools, Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 35 pounds, US Person as defined by 22 C. F. R. § 120. 15
Nice to Have
Experience working with and around hazardous materials (while using the proper protective equipment)
What You'll Do.
and adjust numerically controlled milling machines
Obtain information from drawings
and verbal instructions to prepare for machining operations
Make necessary preparations and adjustments to ready the machine for operation
Install various cutting tools during machining cycles as authorized
Mount and check cutting tools in holders
Ensure proper loading of cutting tools in machine magazines or spindles
and manually position fixtures at designated program stops

Team & Collaboration
Assist planners or programmers in determining the final numerical control program as authorized
