Must Have
Aerospace Engineering degree, Mechanical Engineering degree, Systems Engineering degree, 10 years of relevant experience in systems engineering and integration, launch vehicle definition experience, functional design experience, design integration experience, requirement verification experience, requirement validation experience, Ability to function in a self-directed dynamic work environment as an effective team member, willing to assume a leadership role in the SR-1 systems engineering effort, Education and/or experience in systems engineering principles and practices, requirements management, verification strategies, verification planning, Experience with defining and managing interfaces, interface requirements, interface verification, working across organizational boundaries and engineering disciplines, facilitate and execute program systems engineering tasks, resolve systems integration issues, Systems Engineering policies and procedures related to requirements management, using tools/systems to manage requirements and verification compliance data, developing and delivering briefings, oral, written, and customer relation skills, proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook), Education and/or experience with Digital Engineering tools, DOORS Next Generation, Jira, MagicDraw, US Citizen, STAR ID
Nice to Have
Degree from an ABET accredited institution, Demonstrated experience in effective technical leadership of an engineering team, An understanding and knowledge of the current SR-1 program, working understanding of the SR-1 Element interfaces, Knowledge of launch vehicle programmatic planning processes, experience performing oversight of prime contractor hardware production, test, and certification efforts, NASA Systems Engineering policies and procedures, aerospace vehicles and system design, Certification in Model Based System Engineering (MBSE), Object Management Group® (OMG)-Certified Systems Modeling Professional™ (OCSMP™) Certification
What You'll Do.
Provide systems engineering support
Manage requirements and integration
Coordinate with SR-1 engineering disciplines
Interface with system elements and customers
Participate in SR-1 reviews and meetings
Support development of systems engineering solutions
Ensure stakeholder needs are satisfied
Lead development of SR-1 interface requirements
Ensure compliance with requirements during development
Provide technical integration with other disciplines
Assess requirements and verification activities
Evaluate prime contractor deliverables
Perform systems engineering tasks and assessments
Develop key systems engineering products
Support development of integrated schedules
Manage work and identify risks
Support implementation of Digital Engineering best practices
Support requirement Verification and Validation (V&V) activities
Assure design compliance
Communicate technical issues and risks
Develop integrated schedules for tasks
Identify and describe potential risks
Document risks in NASA Risk Management System
