What You'll Do.
Support for seed production activities for breeding gardens and experimental purposes
Organization of seed packaging and logistics for hybrid trials
Continuous cooperation with NSPP specialist colleagues
and preparing seed lots from external sites for seed packaging
Coordinating tasks related to seed packaging and seed processing among seasonal workers as acting work leader
Performing logistics tasks: sending/receiving packages
administration (filling out delivery notes
communicating about package dispatches)
Performing technical tasks during spring and autumn seed packaging periods: printing seed bag labels
managing Excel spreadsheets
managing weighing scales
Inventorying seeds (hybrids and parent lines) on a continuous and periodic basis using the designated tool
Supporting corn breeding garden work
managing small work groups (sowing
sampling and sample preparation
Maintaining contact with the authorized person(s) of the company/companies providing the breeding garden area to organize and carry out current agrotechnical services
Directing plant care tasks
Supporting the execution of seed production (ISO) experiments
Participating in other tasks related to the operation of the site (managing HSE documents
performing current administrative tasks for temporary employment agencies)
