Currently enrolled at a community college or university.

What You'll Do.

Assist with field and laboratory activities that support ongoing research in the Controlled Environment Entomology program.

Help staff and graduate students maintain various insect colonies and plant stock.

Prepare for fieldwork.

Support basic sample preparation and processing in the lab

greenhouse and high tunnel.

Water plants as needed.

Sow and transplant vegetable plants used in experiments.

Assist with the maintenance of whitefly

and big-eyed bug colonies.

Assist with preparing supplies and materials for insect experiments.

Depending on the season

assistance in planting

and harvesting various crops.

Contribute to general lab tasks: cleaning

stocking and preparation of supplies and reagents.
