What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management, or a related field, Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in data analysis, data cleaning, and data quality management, Knowledge of Excel (complex formulas, pivot tables, data visualization), Proficiency in statistical software, specifically Stata, Experience with mobile data collection tools like CommCare (including survey design and programming), Demonstrated ability to design, program, and deploy surveys and data collection instruments, Ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently, Exceptional organizational skills, Rigorous approach to data accuracy and quality assurance, Ability to work autonomously, take ownership of projects, and drive them to completion

About One Acre Fund Founded in 2006, One Acre Fund equips 5.5 million smallholder farmers to make their farms more productive. Across nine countries that together are home to two-thirds of Africa's farmers, we provide high-quality farm supplies, tree seedlings, accessible credit, modern agronomic training, and a wide range of other agricultural services. About the Role Seeking a detail-oriented data professional to own survey design, data quality, and analysis within One Acre Fund's MEL team, working closely with field teams to ensure accurate, timely data that informs program decisions and improves impact for farmers. Responsibilities Survey Development and Programming Program surveys in CommCare with little support and ensure all data quality controls (display conditions, validation conditions, warning messages) are in place before rollout. Respond to feedback from the field team and improve CommCare surveys based on challenges during survey implementation. Test all surveys before data collection. Stay up-to-date with CommCare features, and ensure surveys incorporate all needed features for maximum efficiency and high data quality.
