What They're Looking For.
Must Have
3–4 years of hands-on experience in networking, understanding of routing protocols (e. g. , BGP, OSPF), VPN/GRE tunneling, DNS, experience with network security, experience with load balancers, Solid knowledge of Linux system internals, familiarity with Windows and MacOS environments, scripting in Bash/sh, programming in any language, Troubleshoot complex issues across physical, cloud, and overlay technologies, Understanding DDoS technologies such as attack types, detection, and analysis, Automate network operations and deployment pipelines using CI/CD and scripting tools, Collaborate with DevOps and infrastructure teams to improve reliability, observability, and deployment velocity, Proficiency in leveraging AI tools
Nice to Have
Proficiency with networking equipment such as Cisco, Juniper, F5, Fortigate, Palo Alto, Arista, or open-source alternatives, Relevant certifications such as CCNP/CCIE or equivalent (Juniper, Arista, etc.), experience with monitoring tools
