Must Have
Bachelor's degree or above in computer science, electrical engineering, or related field, Experience with IP networking fundamentals and TCP/IP, UDP, DNS & DHCP, Experience in Linux OS and network troubleshooting, Experience with network troubleshooting tools, Experience working in a Linux/Unix environment, 3+ years of experience in network operations or network engineering
Nice to Have
Experience in major internet routing protocols, Experience in managing and troubleshooting network, Experience in technical support, Experience in networking administration and troubleshooting, 3+ years of work in large-scale networking environments experience, 1+ years of computer hardware troubleshooting and repair experience, Experience with cabling infrastructure best practices and methodologies, Knowledge of network cabling, optic types, and test equipment, Experience with mission-critical, 24x7 operations

As a Network Engineer on CRT, you execute capacity restoration workflows across Amazon’s global network. You troubleshoot link and device failures. You coordinate with cross-functional teams. You drive TTR down for out-of-service capacity. This role is focused on operational execution using existing tools and processes. You work at the component level, solving straightforward problems with guidance from your team. Key job responsibilities - Execute link restoration workflows for Regional Border and Backbone spans. - Troubleshoot hardware and software failures on network devices. - Coordinate with carriers, colocation providers, and data center technicians on repairs. - Monitor capacity health using operational event monitoring systems, network health monitoring systems, and workflow orchestration engines. - Perform device health checks and link tests to validate restoration. - Maintain accurate records of restoration progress, backlog status, and TTR metrics. - Identify patterns in recurring failure
