Responsibilities Design network solutions for TMG’s automated trading infrastructure Implement and maintain a high availability, low latency network infrastructure Troubleshoot network and network related issues Collaborate with other team members on new technology solutions Work with other teams within the firm to address technological issues Proactively monitor the network and provide capacity planning Participate in the on-call support rotation and some weekend work Mentor junior engineers from a technical perspective Requirements Seasoned engineer, ideally with a CCIE, experience building and maintaining production financial/trading networks Experience with multicast and unicast routing protocols (TCP/IP, PIM, BGP, OSPF) Experience with the design, deployment, and operation of modern IP multicast networks Working knowledge of low latency networking concepts Experience with firewall administration and site to site VPN Some hands-on required for data center work Deep understanding of the TCP/IP stack Experience with packet capture and tcpdump analysis tools Knowledge of high accuracy timing protocols Experience with network management software and tool
