WHO YOU ARE: Seeking an IT professional who uses analysis and design techniques to solve business problems using technology. The ideal candidate will have strong problem solving, critical thinking and analytical skills. Must have the ability to communicate in a professional, customer-focused manner. WHAT YOU WILL DO: The Network Engineer (Network Specialist V-VI) performs advanced to highly advanced and/or supervisory (senior-level) work overseeing activities associated with a Local Area Network (LAN) and/or Wide Area Network (WAN), Internet and intranet systems, and other data networks; planning, designing, and integrating data telecommunications networks; designing, installing, and monitoring networks; monitoring and analyzing existing hardware and software; developing policies and procedures; preparing budget recommendations; and evaluating potential network enhancements. Works under minimal supervision, with considerable to extensive latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. YOU WILL BE TRUSTED TO: -Strategic planning, design, rollout, 24/7 operations, performance, and security of the internal network that provides services to TWC employees, contractors, and vendors.
