Full Job Description

Title: Network Engineer Clearance: Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Job Description: Inalab Consulting, Inc. is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to maintain and administer our government client’s network. Candidate will work with network users to identify potential issues and fix existing problems. Candidate should have a firm understanding of network infrastructure, network hardware and, management of network infrastructure. Candidate must be able to implement, administer, and troubleshoot network devices including WAPs, firewalls, routers, switches, and controllers. Candidate will be responsible for standard processes and procedures for monitoring the government client’s hardware and software. Candidate must be able to work effectively with the Enterprise Architects, OS engineers, and operation support teams. Job Functions: Configure and maintain government client networks, including routers, switches, encoders/decoders, and VPNs. Design, test, and evaluate new network solutions and hardware. Monitor, troubleshoot, resolve, and communicate network issues. Work with application teams, customers and other support teams to co-ordinate and facilitate incident triage and resolve production monitoring issues in a timely manner. Manage ServiceNow tickets and service requests to ensure a resolution in a timely and efficient manner. Develop standard operating procedures and user guides. Identify and develop ways to improve and automate monitoring to gain operational efficiencies and improve responsiveness. Required Skills/Experience: Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Highly organized, structured, process-oriented, and a self-starter. Ability to work independently as well as with a team. Minimum of 5 years supporting networking and collaboration services to include production and technical support.
