Our client, an international financial institution, is seeking an experienced SQL Server DBA to join their team. In this role, you will provide day-to-day, on-site support for internal application teams while managing and optimizing complex database environments. As an SQL DBA, you will, * Administer Microsoft SQL Server 19 instances on Windows Server with VMware virtualization. * Provide day-to-day, on-site support for internal application teams. * Support application releases and implement changes * Monitor database activity, optimize performance, and plan for forecasted resource needs. * Develop and maintain database procedures, configure standards, and maintain relevant documentation. * Participate in an on-call rotation supporting Oracle, MongoDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MSSQL, and Sybase technologies. ## Qualifications What would make you a fit for the role: * Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. * Minimum 5 years of proven experience as a SQL Server Database Administrator (DBA). * Hands-on experience administering SQL Server Always On Availability Groups in production environments. * Strong proficiency in Windows-based environments, including server administration and integration with SQL Server. * Demonstrated expertise in troubleshooting, performance tuning, and ensuring database reliability, security, and integrity. * Experience with
