Part time Saturday and Sunday 7a-730p, willingness to rotate to all areas as the need arises, Participate in intravenous (IV) training, passes all competencies required to start and administer IV contrast material under the general observation of a qualified physician, as per department policy and procedure.

Must Have
Graduate of an approved school that fulfills the ARRT requirements for primary or secondary pathway education in MRI, ARRT registered in Radiologic Technology, BLS required
Nice to Have
MRI Specialty required or obtained within one year of employment, Experience in MRI preferred, MRI specific classroom experience a plus
What You'll Do.
Operates a magnetic resonance scanner to perform technologist duties as required and necessary for proper departmental work flow.
Prepares patient for exams as required and insures patient comfort and modesty at all times.
Accommodates patient needs and staffing needs through flexibility in scheduling and timeliness of studies.
Performs appropriate studies as determined through policy and procedure.
Follows requisition in terms of providing proper study for patients.
Ensures that exams requested match patient condition and/or history and calls or asks proper persons for more information as necessary to perform the proper study.
Sets up equipment as necessary and uses proper imaging techniques.
Adjusts imaging factors when necessary to improve study or quality factors.
Works through radiologist's requirements to provide appropriate images and provides additional views and variations of techniques as requested.
Completes procedures in timely fashion while providing quality images for Radiology and outside departments.
Completes work by the end of the shift or communicates with coworkers about work needing completion.
Participate in intravenous (IV) training
and passes all competencies required to start and administer IV contrast material under the general observation of a qualified physician
as per department policy and procedure.
Maintains equipment through interaction with both management and department service vendors to maximize equipment up time
and minimize dollar impact to the hospital.
Performs patient focused customer service and ensures the following standards are met appropriately and achieved.
Communicates patient complaints professionally to the appropriate supervisor.
Keeps discussions around patients to a minimum and ensures that patients are not subjected to departmental conversations and/or any inappropriate behavior.
Handles telephone calls and requests for services both professionally and appropriately.

Ensures that all required documentation is properly completed for billing purposes to include (but not necessarily limited to) electronic orders and paperwork related to all procedures performed.

Follows all departmental established and appropriate policies and procedures as required.

Full Job Description
**POSITION SUMMARY:** Under general supervision of the MRI/CT Supervisor, and following established policies and procedures, operates a magnetic resonance scanner to obtain images for use by physicians in diagnoses and treatment of pathologies. The technologist provides technical and ancillary support to the department mission through demonstrated clinical and academic competency in MRI. Clinical and academic competency is defined as completing training and meeting all clinical responsibilities to all areas assigned, ability to work unsupervised in the clinical setting, willingness to rotate to all areas as the need arises, and holding appropriate registration and advanced certification, as required by the ARRT, and the ACR.
