What You'll Do.

Refer questions to Radiologist

Contact ordering provider

Prepare patients for procedure

Document on worksheets

Record medical history

Correlate test results

Assume responsibility for exam

Administer IV contrast

Evaluate image quality

Consult with Radiologist

Recognize abnormal anatomy

Process additional images

Perform basic patient care

Inform nursing personnel

Initiate life support measures

Assist in code blue procedures

Practice sterile technique

Perform invasive procedures

Obtain contrast material

Practice radiation safety

Follow radiation safety standards

Report malfunctioning equipment

Maintain knowledge of skills

Adhere to safety procedures

Attend in-service classes

Complete safety modules

Operate radiology computer system

Charge procedures/supplies

Document contrast administration

Assist other medical personnel

Maintain knowledge of MRI safety
