What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement, 5+ years of experience in NDE
Nice to Have
5+ years of hands-on experience in NDE/NDT engineering in a regulated industry (e.g., aerospace, defense, energy), Bachelor’s degree or higher in Materials Science & Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Experience with nondestructive evaluation processes (e.g., ultrasonic testing, radiography, eddy current testing, and penetrant inspection), Experience working in multi-discipline teams, a desire to work with technical and non-technical customers, understanding of materials behavior, stress analysis, and fracture mechanics, Experience with project management tools, Excellent time management skills to manage several simultaneous projects effectively and across various geographical locations, Active / Current Secret U. S. Security Clearance preferred but not required

Apply nondestructive evaluation (NDE) methods/approaches
optical and radiologic principles
in developing new and novel methods/approaches to address affordability and supportability objectives
Develop new sensor technology and testing systems for nondestructive evaluation (NDE) applied to manufacturing and support areas
Define requirements for tools
parts and processes used in the engineering design
manufacture and maintenance of products and approve their use
Lead development of specifications and other documents to manage the deployment of tools
Maintain compliance with contractual and regulatory obligations
Evaluate emerging technologies for potential application to address business needs
validation and qualification of new tools
parts and processes to meet requirements
Manages test and audit programs to qualify suppliers to applicable requirements
Uses project management tools to meet cost
and schedule requirements
Incorporates environmental health and safety
LEAN and Quality principles into (1) materials and processes
design and qualification
(3) work procedures and (4) labs and office areas
Ensure compliance with industry codes
and customer requirements (ASNT
and failure investigations as a subject matter expert
Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers and technicians
Supports the Team Lead and work statement
