Industry & Context.
Identifying impacts of non-conformances associated with metallic materials and processes and corrective/preventative actions for future avoidance; Conducts engineering lab / failure analysis to help determine cause and corrective action of fractured metallic aircraft parts; solve a variety of materials and process challenges

Must Have
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement, 2+ years of relevant technical experience in Aerospace or Manufacturing industries, 2+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience, U. S. Person as defined by 22 C. F. R. §120.62

5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (Mid-level), 9+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (Senior level), Experience in Materials & Process Engineering, Airplane program experience, Relevant technical experience in Metallic Materials processes and manufacturing
What You'll Do.
Provides materials and process support to Boeing Commercial Airplane programs throughout the full life cycle of the airplane from design to production to fleet support
Definition of metallic materials and process requirements used in the engineering design
manufacture and/or maintenance of Boeing products
Reviews metallic materials and process specifications and other engineering documents used to control design
certify and produce structural hardware
Approves test reports and manufacturing planning used to qualify suppliers for critical metallic aircraft parts such as forgings
castings and machined parts
Identifying impacts of non-conformances associated with metallic materials and processes and corrective/preventative actions for future avoidance
Conducts engineering lab / failure analysis to help determine cause and corrective action of fractured metallic aircraft parts
Leads in evaluation of emerging technologies for potential application to future BCA products enabling a competitive advantage
Produces requirements
specifications and other documents to manage the deployment of tools
parts and processes used to enhance the full life cycle of Boeing products

Collaborates with multiple engineering teams, Design, Stress, Quality, Manufacturing, and Suppliers to solve a variety of materials and process challenges throughout the full life cycle of the airplane
