Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement, 2+ years of relevant technical experience in Aerospace or Manufacturing industries, 2+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience, Demonstrated experience with Aerospace grade metallic materials such as Titanium, Aluminum, Corrosion Resistant Steel (CRES) and High Strength Steels (HSS), Demonstrated experience with the processes associated with said Aerospace grade metallic materials such as Machining, Forming, Heat Treat, Shot Peen, Forging, and Casting along with the associated inspection techniques, Demonstrated experience correctly applying these metallic materials and process to aerospace structural designs, U. S. Person as defined by 22 C. F. R. §120.62

What You'll Do.

Provides materials and process support to Boeing Commercial Airplane programs throughout the full life cycle of the airplane from design to production to fleet support.

Reviews metallic materials and process specifications and other engineering documents used to control design

certify and produce structural hardware.

Approves test reports and manufacturing planning used to qualify suppliers for critical metallic aircraft parts such as forgings

castings and machined parts.

Identifying impacts of non-conformances associated with metallic materials and processes and corrective/preventative actions for future avoidance.

Conducts engineering lab / failure analysis to help determine cause and corrective action of fractured metallic aircraft parts.

Leads in evaluation of emerging technologies for potential application to future BCA products enabling a competitive advantage.

Produces requirements

specifications and other documents to manage the deployment of tools

parts and processes used to enhance the full life cycle of Boeing products.

Our organization is dedicated to driving innovation and delivering advanced materials and technology solutions throughout the product lifecycle. The BCA M&P Engineering organization is seeking a **Materials, Process, and Physics Metallurgical Engineer (Associate, Mid-Level, or Senior) to join our team in the Puget Sound region (Everett or Renton)**. The candidate should have demonstrated experience with Aerospace grade metallic materials such as Titanium, Aluminum, Corrosion Resistant Steel (CRES) and High Strength Steels (HSS). The candidate should have demonstrated experience with the processes associated with said Aerospace grade metallic materials such as Machining, Forming, Heat Treat, Shot Peen, Forging, and Casting along with the associated inspection techniques.
