This position requires the employee to register as a mortgage loan originator with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry ("Registry") and obtain a unique identifier from the Registry before engaging in mortgage loan originator activities.
What They're Looking For.
Must Have
2-5 years relevant experience. Established book of business. Expertise of general lending products and overall mortgage industry.
Nice to Have
FHA/VA & conventional loan experience. The ability to comprehend and explain financial calculations and pricing alternatives. The ability to communicate with customers about the proper documents and information needed to obtain a particular loan. Knowledge of the laws and regulations that govern consumer lending, including fair lending, privacy, and RESPA.
What You'll Do.
Originate high quality residential real estate loans for clients
and other area referrers
consult with customers about their financial situation
collect and analyze customer financial information
analyze financial information for customers to make an initial assessment
make recommendations about lending solutions
advise customers about consequences of lending solutions
promote Citi's brand and financial services
visit customers outside of Citi's offices
work as a team with internal partners
refer customers to appropriate Citi professionals
partner with Operations teams to ensure seamless transfer of loan application
work with Processors/Closers and customers to ensure timely closing of loan
go outside to key referral relationships to drive mortgage business
introduce clients to segment partners
keep abreast of trends and developments in local marketplace
appropriately assess risk.
How You'll Work.
Team & Collaboration
Engages internally with retail branch partners, operations, community business development officers. Work as a team with all internal partners to support and grow our customers. Partner with Operations teams to ensure the seamless transfer of the loan application.
